Louisa Paterson
Founder | Former Professional Ballerina | EQF Level 4 Certified PT
Louisa Paterson is the Founder of Train Like a Ballerina.
She trained at the John Cranko School and performed professionally across Germany for 11 years. Following her stage career, she became an EQF Level 4 Certified Personal Trainer and has since trained some of the world’s top ballerinas.
Louisa’s methodology fuses elite ballet experience with advanced strength and mobility principles. Her programs focus on building end-range strength, improving control and alignment, increasing tissue resilience, and reducing overuse injury risk.
Her work bridges the gap between traditional ballet training and modern sports science, helping dancers of all levels build strength, prevent injury, and sustain long, successful careers.

Katie Boren
American Ballet Theatre | NASM Certified | Master Trainer
Katie Boren stands at the intersection of artistry and athletic precision.
Previously a professional ballerina with American Ballet Theatre, her career has spanned the Staatsballett Berlin and Boston Ballet, following early training in Dallas and at the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School.
Beyond the stage, she is a NASM-certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine – integrating high-performance strength with classical technique.
Katie is also a Master Trainer with Train Like a Ballerina, translating elite experience into structured, ballet-specific conditioning for dancers worldwide.

Robert Bruist
Former Ballet Dancer | RAD & Rambert Certified | Master Trainer
Robert Bruist is an Australian dance educator, coach, and former professional ballet soloist with over 14 years of international experience. Based in Sydney, he is recognised for his expertise in classical ballet, contemporary dance, and dancer-specific Pilates.
He currently teaches at the Sydney Dance Company, leading the Ballet Foundation Semester for adult beginners. He is also a Master Trainer for Train Like a Ballerina, where he created the Pilates Protocol for Dancers – a structured, science-backed program focused on injury prevention and strength development. In addition, Robert teaches is one of Australia’s first fully qualified Rambert Grades teachers.
Prior to transitioning into education, Robert performed as a soloist with Croatian National Ballet Zagreb and Leipziger Ballett, and danced professionally with*West Australian Ballet. His formal training includes the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy and the Heinz Bosl Stiftung Ballet Academy in Munich.

Iana Salenko is a Principal Ballerina with the Staatsballett Berlin and one of the most admired ballerinas of her generation. Renowned for her extraordinary extension, technical brilliance, and unmistakable stage presence, she has captivated audiences across the world’s most prestigious theatres.
Her dancing is defined by a rare combination of strength, elegance, and precision., delivering performances that are both powerful and effortlessly refined. Years of elite classical training and an uncompromising standard of excellence have shaped her into an artist celebrated for her control, elevation, and clarity of line.
As of January 2026, Iana became a Master Trainer with Train Like a Ballerina, where she now brings her lifetime of elite training, performance experience, and technical expertise into a structured method for dancers worldwide. Through this role, she shares the exact principles that have supported her career longevity, strength, and command at the highest level of ballet.

Jenna Carroll
Nutritionist
Jenna began her career as a ballerina with the Birmingham Royal Ballet before injuries sparked her passion for nutrition. She earned a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutrition and Naturopathic Medicine and now combines science with lived experience to help people worldwide restore and strengthen mind, body, and spirit.

Rachel Fine
Registered Dietitian
Rachel Fine, founder of To The Pointe Nutrition and DanceNutrition.com, is a former dancer and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. As a Sports Nutrition Specialist and Intuitive Eating Counselor, she helps dancers fuel smarter, optimise performance, and build a healthy, sustainable relationship with food through her program, The Healthy Dancer®.

Sarah King
Exercise Physiologist/ Women's Health Coach
Sarah King is a HAES® Exercise Physiologist and health coach who combines science with her personal journey to help women heal their relationship with food, exercise, and their bodies. Through coaching and her Recovery Club, she supports cycle recovery, hormone balance, and lasting body confidence.

Steph Alberts
Physiotherapist
With a background in sport and ballet, Steph has worked as a physiotherapist since graduating from the University of Sydney in 2014 and is completing her Master’s in Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe. She specialises in running, tendinopathy, and dance injuries, and is trained in the DMA Pilates method.

Alex is a holistic nutritionist with a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional & Dietetic Medicine. She empowers individuals to take control of their health, believing optimal nutrition is the foundation of wellbeing. With a food-first, holistic approach, she helps restore balance, boost energy, and build a vibrant life.

Sophia Tilley
Yoga/Meditation Teacher
Sophia has over 1,000 hours of yoga training across philosophy, sequencing, kids, mindful birth, and Soulfull Wellness Yoga. A trained Kindred Meditation Facilitator with Vedic Meditation training from Bondi Meditation Centre, she blends her ballet background with creative precision to inspire and support every student’s practice.

Mia Cooper
Podiatrist
Mia, a former ballerina with the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich, turned to podiatry after facing recurring foot and ankle injuries. Graduating from Southern Cross University in 2017, she later opened her own Gold Coast clinic. Passionate about dance-related injuries, Mia focuses on both treatment and prevention for dancers.

After a celebrated career with Bayerisches Staatsballett, Magdeburg Ballet, and Singapore Dance Theatre, Emma turned her passion to health science, completing an Honours Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics in 2019. She now blends ballet and nutrition expertise to help dancers fuel, prevent injury, and achieve longevity on and off stage.

Lucie is a Chartered Psychologist and former dancer dedicated to advancing psychological wellbeing in dance.
